Default aux port not working?

I took my car to ford to get it checked out (its located in the glove box) and they said there was power going to it but it still doesn't work... I tried different cables and i-pods.. any suggestions?

But there is no power going to the 3.5mm stereo AUX jack.
Its in the center console, not the glove box.
It ACCEPTS line level audio (100mV) and converts it to
speaker level power. Did you try pushing the AUX button
on the front of the radio. Be sure the radio says "AUX INPUT"
when you are trying to get an IPOD to play thru the AUX jack.

Maybe the dealership got confused and thought you were talking about the 12V outlet in the center console?

Maybe he has a non-factory, non-trip tunes,
unsopported aftermarket IPOD adapter.
Whats the model and software revision?
Throw it away if it is a Peripherial.
Get a BrandMotion IPOD adapter FTW.
