Alright guys i purchased carbon fiber mirror covers (not the whole mirror ones) and they did not come with any instructions or anything else. What do i need to put it on and how?

 

they should have 3M tape attached to them, just clean the mirrors and stick it on.

 

They did not come with any tape. Could i get some at maybe a lowes? What kind of tape? What to clean mirrors with, just a wipe?

 

get some tape from autozone or some thing and wipe the mirrors down with some alcohol wipes...should be good to go!

 

Where did you purchase these covers? I am surprised they did not supply instructions or the tape. Did you contact them to find out if they had mistakenly left them out?

 

I bought them off ebay. When they sent it the first time, the package was empty, had to open up a paypal despute and they send me the right one. When it got here, there was nothing but the mirror covers in the box and gues what, they didnt fit all the way right. There is a little gap between the mirror and cover . But he will not answer my emails to take it back that piece of ****. so i figure i might as well put them on anyways.

 

I got mine from American Muscle. Came with 3M tape already on the covers, cleaning cloths (which was just alcohol wipes) and instructions.

ebay can be quite risky.

The 'gap' is the space the tape needs to occupy.

3M Acrylic Emblem Tape available at The Zone or the Pepper Boys.
Its available in different lengths and widths. Its tricky applying a
3 dimensional object to another with double sides tape. You have
one shot to get it right.
Use some 3M 4298 Adhesive promoter as well or you
will be looking for your carbon fiber mirror covers on
the side of the interstate.
