Anyone using this New Ford Racing Cam?

Hey Rubrignitz,
I'm new here so hello to everyone
Have a few question for you on the cams;
Is the idle very rough?
Does the exhaust at idle smell or raw fuel, and how does it compare to the stock cam exhaust?
How did it affect your mpg? More or less the same?
How much more louder is it at idle, mid, and high range?
Can you feel the loss on the bottom end?
How's the top end?
Anything you'd like to add?
The mods i have on my stang are;
- LT JBA Headers, Hi flow cats
- C&L Performance
- Steeda Pulleys, and delete plates
- 4.10 Gears
- Flowmaster axle back
I would mind doing something to it this season, but have always been weary about cams, since i've scene radical ones at the track.
Your help would be great.
Thanks

I picked up an honest 20-25 hp and 2 tq PRE TUNE with the cams. Then another 17 hp and 20 tq after tuning.
I wouldn't even care about the hp.. the cams give you so much more high-rpm ooomph that the meager hp gain is just icing on the cake. My car had no top-end with the stock cams.
There is a vid link in my sig if you want to hear what they sound like with an exhaust system. Most of the vids you find are guys running open headers, off road pipes or straight pipes to make it sound really loud.
They have a nice rump rump rump at idle. They're expensive yes, but when guys are paying $300 for pulleys and getting less than a 5hp gain, and then only in the upper rpm range?? Makes much more sense when you think about it that way.

Hey there 05....
In my opinion these "HotRods" are great cams for the street..!! I love my lumpey- shaking car at idle when at stop lights ...!! And Yep, heads do turn..!! I Picked up 29 additional HP on the Dyno and for me it's really noticeable over 3500-4000 rpms.
To answer some of your questions....
- There's very little additional smell on first start-up of the day
- My exhaust did get slightly louder overall...and love it
- Didn't notice any low end loss with 4:10's
- Sound is absolutely amazing if you like the sound of a cammed car !!
And, " ..anything you would like to add " you say....
Ya.....GET THEM...!!!

I would strongly agree with everything mentioned above. Give me another month to comment because my registration just expired and I could not get my car inspected with the cams installed. I'll have to travel down to San Antonio, retune the car, get it inspected, retune the car AGAIN and then come back home. I'll have to take a few days off work to get that done in the next few weeks...

Thanks Guys, it's looking like i'm going to get them !!!!
This is the perfect time to get them cause my 05 stang's timing gear is chipped, and am replacing it on this Monday.
To do this work you have to remove the cam covers, pulleys, so the labour is already spent, to take off the chain remove and replace the cams is just a little more.
Last question, is your mpg more or less the same. Dont get me work i understand more power = more gas, but just want to know what im getting into.
Thanks again everyone.
