Question Question about GTA Mufflers?

Did the Ford GTA Mufflers come stock on all Shelby GT's and California Specials? How about the Bullit? Thanks!

GTA's did not come on the California Special models. I believe that they were only on the Shelby GT's. Bullit's had different ones too. I have a CS and put GTA's on it and am also very happy. Yes, they are not as loud as some others, but I like em!!

Yeah...I got the MACs and the drone is killing me. But then I also have an A/T tranny. It's not so easy to shift out of the 2,000 rpm drone like I would be able to do with a 5-speed.

So....the only difference on the C/S were the tips....because I know the tips are different.

The tips were part of the premium appearance package, they are not GT/CS specific.

Of course it is. The button on the right side of the shifter is the O/D button. Press that and you'll drop into 4th. You could always pull the shifter down to 3rd or lower if needed as well.

Or just trade for the MAC Boomtubes.

To heck with drone... Get the FRPP Stingers (GT's). The GTA's are too quiet, IMO. I'm 53 and I don't think the Stingers are too loud. I'd have been dissatisfied had I bought the GTA's, only to find out the change in sound was that minimal.
