When you say "starter fuse" are you talking about the relay in the underhood fuse box?

These are the same guys that wouldn't look at your car because they had to do inspections all day, right?

yes its the relay in the fuse box. its supposidly the best shop in the area.

If a new key doesnt work, then the computer and the theft system are all thats left, aside from bad signal cables but those are long shots and not likely.

How would a different key make a difference?

I'm not sure how our keys work, weather its resistivity or a chip in them or a sender in the key... but I'm pretty sure our keys are smart keys of some time, that said if whatever made them smart got some brain damage, then the passive antitheft transiver wouldnt give the PCM the all clear to start. Grabing one of your other keys you stuck somwhere when you first got the car could be a easy check.

ok ok

So they are grounding the starter relay. I highly doubt the pcm went out. I would lean more towards the antitheft. Do you have another key to try? Do you know if they tried to bypass the antitheft transiver?

lol, just read that JD already posted this

either jump the wires with a jumper (aligator clamps on either end of a wire but either way your gonna have to do some wire traceing.
yes i would start with the clutch switch. and just either jump the wires or use a circut light and use the diagram hammeron posted and and keep searching for where the hot ends. were the hot ends is where the problem is. (immediately before) Its gonna be a royal PITA to do because nobody likes to trace wires but if you do it yourself its gonna be a hell of alot cheaper then the shop, find the problem, order the part and replace.
Ok as for the key, yes use your spare, I would give it a shot what do you got to loose.
I dont know about our car specifically but you can bypass the wiring and clutch in turn key and connect a booster pack to the starter and it will fire... if the car will run then that tells you alot. Not the key, probably not the pcm. probably just a problem in the wires... bad jumper, bad circut somewere.. If the starter isnt getting any power at all im tempted to be starting at the starter and working backwards for power
Do you have a test lamp? If so YOU CAN DO THIS. use the diagram and find the wires. ground the test lamp and then start poking. finding the wires is gonna be the hardest part..
You can look at the manuals under the wiring diagrams to find out what bundels the wires should be in... find it on the FSM website.
Good luck man. I would help if you were in alberta...

GOT MY BABY BACK! What ended up happening was a junction box "melted" send a falst signal to the pcm causing the car not to start. They covered everything under warranty and she is running great! Thanks for all the great help guys!
