Default Questions About Upgrading Shaker 500 Stereo System

Hey everyone,

I'm in the process of upgrading my stereo. Here are my definite plans right now:

-- replacing the Shaker 500 head unit with this Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130AVHP...P4000DVD&tp=75)
-- adding this adapter (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130CDI2...er.html?tp=120) to control my iPod through the touchscreen

Some things that I am not sure about would be adding an additional external amp and, if necessary, replacing the rear factory speakers and factory door speakers with these Kenwood's KFC-C6882ie speakers (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KFC6...ie.html?tp=105).

Below are the specs of the amp that I have. I used to have it powering a pair of 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect subs in my old car, and the amp has been on the shelf for two years.

AMP SPECS

400W Mosfet 2 Ohm Stable Stereo 2 Channel Bridgeable Amplifier

RMS Power into 4 Ohms - 100W x 2
MAX Power into 2 Ohms - 200W x 2
Bridge Mono Power into 4 Ohms - 200W x 1
Maximum Speaker Impedance - 2 Ohms
THD - 0.0001
IMD - 0.0001
Frequency Response - 10Hz - 30K
Power Response - 20Hz - 20KHz -0.1dB
Input Sensitivity - 100mV - 5V
Input Impedance - 22K - Ohm
Crossovers - Low Pass: 50Hz - 150Hz
Crossovers - High Pass: 50Hz - 600KHz
Fuse Rating - 20A X 2

And here is what I have gathered about the stock specs for the Shaker speakers:

-- two way plate speakers
-- 4 ohms, 25W (nominal)

With that info, since I don't know a lot about car audio, I have a few questions:

-- Is the Pioneer HU going to make my factory speakers sound like crap?
-- Is this amp a good match for the Pioneer HU and the factory speakers? -- Should I replace the factory speakers with the Kenwoods?

I'm not a huge audiophile, and I'm more or less satisfied with the Shaker 500 stock speakers' sound, but I can't stand the stereo itself anymore. That being said, if getting a new HU and possibly an amp is going to make them distort, blow, or sound like garbage, I'd like to know before getting everything installed.

I'm coming to you guys now because you have nothing to monetarily gain by telling me to buy stuff :-)

Thanks.

The head unit choice is fine, but I would strongly urge you into getting an external amp. Its going to sound 10X better.
