didnt know they had two shifters for our cars. but hey check this, mine used to rattle so bad, the only thing i did (non related) was new exhaust and the rattle stopped. also, i read the shelbyauto forums almost everyday and all the guys on there have some good theorys on rattle, it is common to cut or disconnct the exhaust hangers at the tranny crossmember. i would read into it more before i took the almighty sawzall tho

The rattle comes from the shifter handle connecting to the rest of the linkage. I highly doubt that the billet shifter will fix that problem.

I have the hurst competition shifter (early style) and have not had any rattles since the day I installed it. I guess I will consider myself lucky after hearing all the problems everyone else has been having.

Me too, and I didn't even use any thread locker on the shaft.
