Try silverstars in the fogs and headlights. They are pretty much white and hella cheap compared to HIDS

how do you think the piaa bulbs compare versus the silverstar bulbs as far 'whiteness' goes? i have silverstars now, and i like them, but i saw that it looks like the piaa's bulbs burn at the same watts, but have a higher wattage rating (therefore they look brighter right?); if that's the case, are the piaa bulbs that much better to be worth the extra 50 some-odd bucks? both silverstar and piaa bulbs have a 4000k rating

to get that "pure white" look, you would probably need 5000K bulbs. i had the silverstars (4000K) and then went to some 5000K bulbs and there is a huge difference in color. the silverstars are still very yellowish compared to the others.

Well the ones I have on mine that I posted on the 1st page are an 8K so you're definetly gonna want to go lower, 5K sounds about right.

+1 to this thread. I was going to make an identical thread about this.
Even on my black car the yellowish bulbs bother me. I can't afford hid's, but I want some pure white bulb replacements.

here's an old pic with Nokya cosmic white bulbs (fogs) which i believe are rated at 5000

and here is with silverstars (headlights)

they may look white, but they are still yellowish compared to the fogs. the fogs are cosmic white so the have the small blue tint on the edges of the beam

you shouldnt need to change your housing or melt anything. I bought my hids from stangmods.com and have had them for a year with no melting and i've never had a car flash their lights at me. I've even been driving towards the car while my wife was driving it and they really do not blind on coming traffic. I have 6000k and they have the smallest hint of blue. 5000k would be perfect i think
