Default Thumber Comp cams or FRPP Hot Rod cams

i cant decide with ones to go with mostly because of sound. i read the power gains are pretty much the same so it comes down to sound. so if all of you with the two cams or heard them could please chime in and let meknow what you think that would be great

Thanks

Go with the Hot Rod cams and headers. You will not loose any low end torque and you will pick up 30+ rwhp. The Hot Rod cams sound better. The Comp cams I don't think lope as hard.

The Thumpr cams have pretty much the same lope as the Hot Rods. The comps you're thinking of that don't have much lope are the older NSR series comp has.

Yes you can use them. The gains won't be as high (if any) with the hot rods since they are not designed for FI. But it'll work and with a good dyno tune you won't lose any boost.

If you wanted cams to give you a good/big increase in HP with FI and you still wanted a rough idle then the Comp Cams SPR stage 2 blower cams would be the best choice. They don't lope as much as the Thumpr or Hot Rods but they still have a very rough idle and awesome sound. There's a youtube video from Brenspeed showing these w/ a Saleen blower.

BTW, I just noticed you wrote "Thumber" in the subject. It should be Thumpr. Yes without the e.

Go with the Thumprs. I have them and get compliments on the sound everyday. One lady told me the sound really turned her on.

There both going to make your car sound awesome. Its a matter of opinion. Both sound great but I think the H R cams lope a little harder.
