+1

It's gonna look like some drag wheels. Not the look I would be going for for street tires.

Nice pic and car.

I guess we will see how it looks in two weeks!

Tires don't last forever and with a track day every couple of months....it will not be long. In fact I like those 285/40's. Wonder if I can get those on the front and back......

Yep.
Nothing wrong with the tire bulging a bit.
Old school look.

I've got Nitto 555 285's on a 18x9 and definitely would not go any wider. Next time around, I'm actually moving back down to a 275 on this next set because I feel like the 285 is still a bit wide for the rim.

When I replace the entire set I'm going to do 285/40's or 275/40's all the way around. It will be nice to be able to rotate the tires for a change.

And I thought my 275's were a pain up front due to tramlining. If you drive some heavily driven truck routes, be prepared to fight the wheel. I drive highway 95% of the time and I hate those sections of road where the Stang fights me. Next time around I'm going no wider than 255's up front.

285's on a 9" wide rim should be fine if you're not stressing the tire too much.
