Default Wheels or Mods?

My new 09GT will be picked up tomorrow, and I was going to black it out immediately.

But this forum has been making me think alot!

So, Keep the 18" Polished wheels? or what mods can I do without hurting my warranty just yet?

Wheels were about $1,000 so lets say $1300 in mods?

What mods would you do?

well a rim/tire upgrade is considered one of the BEST mods next to cold air intake+custom tune.

imo, i say just wear out the tires you have now, then get some nitto 555's, or bfg kdw2's.

throw some exhaust, tint the windows, get a valentine1, and enjoy the car.

that's just my suggestion.

What do you want more; appearance or performance?

Consider dropping it with an FRPP handling pack. Have your dealership install some gears and a bullitt cai and a tune. You can keep your warranty that way, or some of it anyways.

just throw in an aftermarket cai and tune and then swap out for services. it seems that is what most are doing when worried about servicing woes.

Drive it around for a while. You'll figure out what you think is good and what is lacking. The CAI/sct tune combo $600, short throw shifter $250 and rims/tires $1700. Plenty of time for mods. Get yourself a subscription to Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords so you get an idea of all the options to make informed purchases. Measure twice, cut once.
