Default LOWERING QUESTIONS-HELP!

i lowered my car about 5 months ago, no real problems, seems fine.

but i have some questions:

how important is it that i correct the pinion angle?

i just put lowering springs on it and panhard bar and adj. panhard brace. do i need anything else?

do i need to remove some kind of "pinion bushing"? some guy was telling me something about it last night..........

it seems most people on here don't bother with the pinion angle, but with an aggressive drop you should. might want to ask someone else with your springs what they did. you could get some adjustable lca's if it really bothers you.

you might want to have your caster/camber checked.

i dont know anything about that pinion bushing id let someone else chime in.

i'd start saving up to upgrade to dspecs or koni yellows too.

There's no 'pinion bushing'; there is a upper link (UCA) bushing, pinion seal, pinion bearings, etc.
You should check your pinion angle (there's links how to do it, it is easy and you can use a low-cost angle finder from lowes or home depot). You might need camber adjustment, depending how much you are lowered, but that will affect only the wear on the front tires.

If it's less than a 1.5" drop, it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

However... Properly aligned>>>>Improperly aligned any time.

I'm about to upgrade my suspension (stock now) along with my 1-piece driveshaft.

I should have gone with either adjustable LCA's or upper CA but didn't when I went to one-piece DS.

I'm sure my pinion angle is off and affecting my traction but won't deal with it until I set everything up this month.

Pinion angle is very important when changing anything in your drivetrain but the two piece DS can accomodate more than a one-piece. I would check it asap.

I will adjust mine to -2/3 when I get it all setup.

you track the car you want the correct pinion! it makes a difference for better traction and launch, get relocation brackets
