Navigation system requires connection to the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) wire in a 2005 GT.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Supposedly ( from info from another forum ) it is pin 14 from the left hand side plug as you are looking at the back of the head unit. But I cannot verify that. I PMed Casper about the same thing but have not received a response yet.

Supposedly, there is a Blue & White wire on a plug on the top of the transmission (near the back). But the installer says he cannot get to this wire without dropping the transmission. Well, the wire has to go somewhere! Perhaps it is more accessible at the other end.

Well, it has to enter the engine compartment somewhere. You could probably find it in the electrical manual for the Mustang.

Do you know anyone that has connected this point (VSS) to a navigation system?

I'm trying to connect a Kenwood KNA-DV4100 NAV system. My installer told me there is "nothing" (no wire) on pin 68.

Perhaps he is mistaken. Just wondering what your confidence level is about Pin 68.

I'm not sure if it matters, I have a GT convertible.

Thank you very much for your help.

MRB..... I havent even looked through my PM's yet, or even at a wiaring diagram... But i can already tell you the 05 Mustang has a External PCM. Seeing as it it under the hood and not in the kickpanel anymore... Also has 3 connectors... not 1 like it used to have. Would you like to tell me where you got this info?
