Very easy for a DIY project. Just follow the instructions that come with the shaft.........even better.........just use TacoBill's how to thread.
You'll want a 3.5" shaft if you're lowered or plan on lowering your car. Otherwise 4" shaft will work for you.
I have the Shaftmaster's 3.5". Great product, thing only weighs 16 or 17 pounds, easy install, less vibrations. However, I've heard they don't make the 3.5" shaft anymore.
Many here use the Spydershaft.
Do it yourself and you should still have around $400 to waste!

What I've found is the actual time it takes on anything to do with a car is take the time it looks (or the time someone else tells you it takes) and multiply it by 2 or 3 at the least.
It took my dad and I a few hours to do my DS.
If you have a lift and all the proper tools then it would take less time than we did it in. That hard part was getting the car high enough. I just barely had the car high enough. It was a pain and I'll never do it again unless I had access to a lift and more tools.

I've been searching for Spydershafts for quite a while and can only find them on www.leonardracing.com for $689.
