Default wheel shimmy...please help

I get a shimmy from 55mph to 75ish....I have gone through 3 sets of wheels since ive noticed this wheel shimmy. The first time i thought it was the wheels so i got new ones, the second time i figured it was too much of a coincidence..and i just got gt500 wheels to clear my brembos, so i figured id be golden with basically brand new wheels factory mounted and balanced...wrong. I need help its driving me crazy...could it be the brakes? i still have my stock brakes on the car.

To answer any questions:
My car is an 07 GT
I took the retaining clips off the rotors a while back so thats not the issue
The alignment checks out ok
the tires are brand new

any help would be greatly appreciated

I had a weird vibration going on a while back. It was in the steering wheel, would just kind of shimy back and forth. Was not bad, just didn't feel normal. I mean, my Ford Ranger has WORN to crap 33x12.50 Goodyear MTR's on it........and thje steering wheel shimys, but not as bad as the car. Ford couldn't figure it out...............they probably knew what was wrong just didn't want to fix it. They spun the wheels, perfectly balanced. They replaced the Pirelli's with the same Pirelli's, not once, not twice, but 2.5 times.......yes, 2 sets of 4 and a set of two. They said the tires were "out of round". The Pirelli's were replaced by a set of Michelin's...........didn't fix the problem. I took the brake retainer clips off, nothing. Didn't matter if it was hot or cold outside, or how long the car had been sitting in the garage. I wrote a letter to a few major people and business, such as the president of the dealer I bought the car from, the president of the dealer that does my service, Ford headquarters, the BBB, the NHTSA, and of course a lemon law lawyer. Lawyer said I definitely have a case if I want to pursue it. Dealer I bought it from wanted to look at and drive the car. The head tech at this place told me this is normal for all the new mustangs, then raised it up on the lift and told me the hanger for my X-pipe was bent and slightly rubbing on the tranny cross member.........that's supposedly what was causing this. I bent the hanger and still had vibrations. I didn't really think the exhaust would cause the steering wheel the shake.

Anyway, the car doesn't do it after all the suspension work, aluminum driveshaft, and the new wheels and tires. Not sure which exactly helped.

My mom actually worked with a guy in Phoenix that had a similar problem as me, except he was able to diagnose his problem, prove it was the problem, and got Ford to fix it. I don't remember exactly, but it was something to do with his rear axle. The axle shaft and tube might have been slightly bent, or the axle may have been misaligned, not sure.

My car is good now. I spent $358.48 (don't know how I remember that number, yet forgot what I ate for breakfast this morning) on my alignment because I wanted it to be perfect, especially with all the adjustable parts.

I just recently purchased some 20" Shelby Razors with Toyo tires for my GT500. I had a bad wheel shimmy even with the tires mounted/balanced correctly. I had to install some Hub centric rings to make the wheels stop the shimmy at the same speed yours is. My wheels actually come with hub centric rings from American racing for this issue. It eliminated about 95% of the shimmy. Look into it.

Check out the link below for some good info on the hub centric rings!
