I use a DOT rated motorcycle helmet, it might not be usable at some tracks that are strict and require a snell rating.

You must have a huge noggin, that link you posted is for a 2X sized helmet!!

Does anyone know the actual NHRA requirement for helmet specs/ratings? I know some tracks are more relaxed on the ratings, but it would be nice to know what they call out in the rule book.

I was about to purchase a new helmet myself. Is a full-face helmet REQUIRED in any case? I'd rather just use an open-face helmet but wondered if a full-face is ever required by rules.

I just use my dirt bike helmet. My track allows it, and I don't want to buy another helmet, so it works.
