Burnouts ?

RE: Burnouts ?
Thanks... not too shabby considering I have wide & tall 275/50s on the rear, stock 3.31 rear gears, and a weak-*** automatic tranny.
The wife wants to try it now... so we're going back out again later. Maybe we'll get a short mpeg, too (that is if hawgman is willing to host it for me again).

Too bad you can't smell it too. Gawd I love the smell of melting rubber!

Hey Don, is there a technique to burning out with an auto? I figure turning TCS off is a given, but do you apply brake and accelerate or just punch it?

Oh by the way, here is a pic from a different burnout that was the runner-up for my choice as my sig pic. I love the way the smoke is billowing out of the fenderwell.

Of course. No problem at all. Would love to see a vid of the sonic blue beast disappearing in a cloud of smoke!
(hehehe...now you are gonna be part of the mudflap crowd so you can keep the rubber off of your rear 1/4 panels)

BTW, these Nitto 450s get nice and sticky when hot. We drove 2 or 3 miles to get home after the burnout, and I could hear small things (like sand, etc.) hitting up under the fenderwell. And once back in the garage, the tires were still sticky to the touch... probably 10 minutes later. I can't wait to see how these hook up at a track. Oh, and my garage still smells like rubber... hehehe
