Doesn't the glass add a few pounds? Also my understanding is that it wouldn't be as rigid as steel, do they have any braces to help with that?

that very well could be, i have never drove a glass roof, or a vert, so i cannot say what they feel like vs. a coupe. and the answer to earlier questions, is yes, i am talking Phoenix, AZ. and i dont need to tell you how the summers are

To each his own but if you've never owned a black car don't start now. I had two black cars in a row and vowed never to get another one again.

I have a 2008 GT vert and I can tell you that they are somewhat heavier then a coupe, about 500 pounds. The reasons are:

1. Additional mechanical gear to lower, raise, and secure the top.
2. Additional metal used to increase the strength of the car to compensate for the fact there is no top.

The above reasons will hold true I think with the glass top.

I would not want a glass top because of the extra weight and the fact you have a nice big target for expensive to repair cracks.

I prefer a vert for the fun factor but if I was looking for a street racer or track racer I would want a coupe.
