Default Brenspeed or Bamachips?

Ok, tax $s are back and it's time for me to man up and buy a tuner. Here's what I have read and observed. I'm going with an SCT3 which both have. I have a C&L Race intake ready to be installed. I rarely if ever go to the 1/8 mi dragway and most of the stangs time is spent making the 120mi round trip to work.

Brenspeed: $379 free shipping
only supports mods that you purchase from them
tunes don't seem to be quite as taylored
generally recognized for more top end

Bamachips: $399 w/at least $10 shipping
supports all mods
tunes extremely taylored
generally recognized for better low end
in my home state(faster delivery, I like local businesses)

I had pretty much decided on bamachips but I'm having trouble justifying an extra ~10% to keep my business local. If anybody has run both or just had an outstanding experience with either please chime in.

Both are excellent. One other difference based on forum input is that Bama has a slight edge if you have an auto tranny. You'll be pleased with either one.

Sounds like you answered your own question. Free updates and all mods are supported, I think you should go with Bama.

I have a manual, but I'm still leaning toward bama, just because a lot of my mods come from the classified boards. But thanks for all input and any to come.

Bama will provide free tunes for your mods. Brenspeed will only provide free tunes for mods you bought from them. Otherwise, you have to pay for new tunes from Brenspeed.

I would highly recommend Brenspeed. I have always had only the best service from them. The tune from that that I have is spot on for the sweet spot in making power. It brought my car to a hp level I am happy with and I have never found better customer service anywhere period.

That said you will be happy with either one as they'll both add a lot of power. Good luck!!

Probably 50-75 bucks, Make sure if you go with Bama pick up the 93 Race tune if 93 is available in your area. I have the torque tune and Race tune and the race is what I always use. But Brenspeed will be doing my S/C install and tunes because doug is just too far away....
