Are the names of the Ford Dealerships that keep popping up around here authorized vendors? You know, the ones that say give me a call we got a GT in stock with your name on it. You know, the ones that say this is a public forum la di da da. Somehow though they are allowed to post. How does that work?
I dunno. I'm making this up as I go along LOL [8D]

Seriously though, No, they are NOT supposed to be posting that stuff in here but they CAN put it in the classifieds/vehicles for sale section.

Good question.

We are not dictators and we do want the forums to work for everyone. I am a volunteer here and I'm just following the guidelines that were set out for me by admin. Their primary interest is to keep mustangforums as a free site. The only way we can do that is to get support from sponsors......the way to get support from sponsors is to have lots of active members, so we really need the site to work for YOU. But remember, we have to protect those sponsors as well....if they are paying to be a part of MF, then it is not fair to have what we call "unauthorized" vendors advertising here.

It's a fine line and sometimes we will make mistakes, but we are all trying to make this the best mustang site out there. That's why I volunteered to be a moderator. The fact that I have no life had nothing to do with it. REALLY

Man I am totally confused now! MSgt46270, I realize you are not an official sponser of "you know who" concerning the orders for the "you know what" but do you have any idea for sure what is going to happen now? I will gone all next week on vacation so was wondering if I should get someone to check for packages while I'm gone. Thanks, Jim

OK, I was right. Redline Tuning is NOT a registered or recognozed vendor of mustangforums but since I got on this so late, you guys can just go ahead and finish up what you were doing.

I don't want to screw it up for you guys who were counting on the discount, so I will leave this thread unlocked and you CAN mention whatever names you want.....all that you know who and you know what stuff is confusing.

I will make sure that I am on top of things in the future and that this stuff gets sent to the right section.

Again, I would like to stress that we are only trying to protect the vendors who sponsor the site.......if you had paid to be a registered vendor and saw everyone trying to get a group buy going with a non-paying company, I think you'd be pissed. I know I would.

Thanks gang and good luck [sm=smiley20.gif]

Redlinegoods is a sponsor. I believe they make the leather shift/brake handle boots.

22 JUn 05 - Here is the reply I received from R/Ting.

Ed,

The group buy is now over - there were no where near enough people and there should have been for the pricing given. We have cancelled it for now and all the current purchases are shipping today.

Thanks,
Brian
