Default $1200? What do I do?

Alright guys, I need a bit of help.

I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with the car. I know I want to put a s/c on eventually, but can't do that right now.

I've got about $1200 to spend and need to know what's ACTUALLY going to make a hp difference...

My first thought is longtubes with an h pipe. It will be catted. It would be $1300 installed.

But how much would longtubes actually help me with power?? Is there anything else that I can get that would net me the same or more for the money?

The wife doesn't want cams and I don't street race so there's no use for nitrous.

Please help if you can so I have an idea what to do.

I know the money is burning a hole in your pocket. But, i think you should put the money in the bank and put it towards a s/c. The performance gains are probably going to be from 20-30 hp from my research. If you put the money in the bank you will be 1200 closer to your ultimate goal.

Do you have any suspension mods done to the car? We make some of the best upgrade parts on the market. If you have any questions please give me a call.

Right now I don't have anything. The car is lowered, that's about it.

I'd prefer to spend the money right now on power, because I don't have enough money to spend right now to make the power gains change the traction issue very much.

The biggest bang-for-the-buck for you would be CAI & tune combo for about 20-25 RWHP gain at about $650. UDP's will add about another 5 RWHP. Gears perhaps? I'd hold off on the LT's unless you can get around emmisions. Plus, they won't get you the HP gains of the CAI & tune.

Sorry guys, I knew I left something out of the first post.

I have a C&L race CAI and Bamachips tune.

I also have 4.10's already installed.

Just trying to figure out what I can do know and get some more power without spending the $4k on a s/c yet.

Just got off the phone with Doug about those. They sound pretty good. About the same gains as longtubes and $600 cheaper.

Did he say when they would be available? I could be putting these on next month if they're out...
