Default 05+ When to change the spark plugs??

When should you change the plugs on an 05 GT? I have also read a lot about the factor plugs having problems. What brand of plugs are you guys using?

Autolites, same heat range. Changed them myself without issue at 45K.

A lot of people are using the champions.

As to when to pull them the sooner the better. I'm doing mine this summer and will have less than 15,000 miles.

Because the longer they sit and the more mileage on them the more carbon buildup and possiblity of them being a problem to get out.

Thats why. I will be taking mine out every year and cleaning them just to keep the crap from building up. Do a search and you will find all you need to know about what to do.

Cool 07 GT Mustang at 29000

Changed mine at 29000. It took abt 1 hour trying to be super careful and letting the decarb sink in. The came our alright with no more than 22-23lbs/ft of torque.
Replaced with Champions 7989 (one piece plugs) spaced at .45 and used the the anti siege paste.

There are no power gains, just piece of mind.

The forward plugs are the most dirty ones and most difficult to get out. Pics of the plugs below. They are lined from fore of the engine to back however left is right and right is left...

I have a set of these coming. Are they going to be gapped properly? I've heard that you aren't supposed to gap platinum plugs - they should be pre-gapped when you get them because they fragile.
