Plus if I want I can just pop open the trunk and by switching a jumper in 2 seconds have sequential lights. The install took me about an hour and a half I would say. I took my time and wired it all nice (even found a dollar bill behind the passengers side rear panel (beneath the quarter panel window)). The install wasn't bad though other then the fact it was cold and dark and my X gf was being a jabroni. I would still recommend it to anyone over the plug and play kit. Gives you that little thought in your head which holds you back from buying any other mod's right away because your happy with them.. atleast for me.
I had just finished a full blown audio install on my mustang before I was looking into what sequentials to buy. The thought of pulling all the trim up again to run a wire was not appealing.

I honestly don't know if I have the room to run anymore wires!!! The passenger side has 6 pairs of speaker wire, along with 3 pairs of RCAs, and a remote turn on lead. The driver side has a gi-normous 0 gauge power cable. A dollar bill wouldn't even fit......

I love the way the chasers look....but I think I'll manage with the normal sequentials.

There is a Amp Install write up on here someplace. I pretty much followed it.

I ran the 0 gauge wire down behind the battery tray and into the wheel well. I had to remove the inner fender/wheel well plastic cover and feed it through the existing factory grommet, (yes it does fit perfectly) then ran it down the side with no fitment issues. Worked out pretty sweet.

The biggest pain was running new speaker wires into the doors.

The plug-n-play models take maybe a whole 20 minutes to install including slapping everything back together. It's very easy. Plus, you can reinstall your stock harness in the same time (or less since you already know how to do it) if you ever feel the need.

I just had to do a minor "fix" on mine from American Muscle (they're made by Stack Racing) and also installed a set in my g/f's '06 Pony. $139 + shipping but if you watch you may be able to catch them on sale.
Well i mean I think his point on not being able to see the lights was based on the fact that when your oudside your car, there's no reason or way for your lights to be on. You would still be able to see your blackout panel when you walk up to your car, but your tail lights would be off.

I guess I'm weird then (but most people already know that...) since I'll turn my 4-ways on just to watch my sequentials on occasion.

If you truly needed an 0 guage power wire, it would have
been better to run a 8 guage back for charging purposes and
have an Optima Yellow Top in the trunk with the amps.
The resistance alone is enough to warrant the trunk mounted
battery.

I do the same thing. So I guess I am weird too....lol. I have sequentials on my 05 (plug and play) and love them. Have not had any problems with them at all, so far.

I know this is the wrong thread for this convo, but I ran the 0 gauge for future headroom. I do not need it right now. I am running all of the JL 450/4 channels on the fronts and a small 400rms amp for 1 10 in trunk...for now.

It doesn't really matter to me, but you might just want to start a new thread for the audio wiring topic just so that if someone were to ever use this thread for reference they wouldn't get confused with all the other wiring stuff being discussed. Like I said, it doesn't really matter to me because all my questions were answered by you guys (I thank you very much ).
