I believe recommended tire pressure is only like 35 psi.

Idk what to tell ya deek try looking at their website and try to find out!!
For winter i try using a lower tire pressure so that you can have the maximum rubber hitting pavement!!
But during the summer i turn it up to about 36 for better tread life!
Ford recommends 34 on the stockers!!

what size tires do you have now? running 45 psi seems a little excessive. unless you are on really low profile tires, you are just reducing your contact patch and therefore grip.

Depending on what your car's OE tire size was your door sticker will list something in the 32 to 35 psi range. If your tires are not an OE size, you may need slightly different pressure, but it should not be much different. It's also OK to vary slightly from the door sticker pressures as long as you have a good reason for doing so.

The max pressure number molded into the tire sidewall is a tire maximum and has absolutely nothing to do with what you should run that tire at on any given vehicle. Except for a couple of extremely unusual situations, you might just as well forget that the tire sidewall max number is even there.

The door sticker probably says 32. Mine does. I run mine at 34-35 PSI. But it all depends on what your preference is. Start at 32 and increase by 2 PSI increments until the ride gets uncomfortable. Based on whats been said in the handling forum, about 35 is a good compromise. What's on the tire is a max pressure and NOT a recommended pressure for in-service use.
