Auto Transmission Leak
A couple of months back I noticed a few drips of trans. fluid on the bottom of trans. I carried it to the dealer they pulled the whole thing out could not find anything wrong so they called ford they were told that sometime's the trans. were overfilled from factory and would discharge it.Well I started to notice the drips again has anybody else ever noticed this problem.It seems to happen after driving a little harder than normal.

Had same problem with a few T-birds..same trans. And i found the fluid comming out of the vent tube. All of them overfilled... let sit in show room... they took out and test drove put back in show room and leaked on the floor. I brought it back on the lift, ripped out the tranny, checked and it was comming out of the vent again. let even more fluid out and checked level. Everything ok and for 4 months no no more leaks.

Thankyou for your reply I was told it was coming from the vent tube the first time.I will let a little more fluid out.It is nice to have you coming around the 05 forums thanks again.
