Default Plug for intake hole?

So I just sold my Zex kit and I had to drill a hole in my C&L intake for the nozzle to go into. Does anybody know if there is a way to plug the hole so I can continue to use this intake?

Is it aluminum or plastic? Whats the offending hole size?
I can think of many ways to make the hole disappear but
it depends on the material to be plugged.

It's aluminum, I can't recall the size off hand. I was just curious to see if anyone else has done this before.

Yea, hillbilly style. Thats the ticket.
Leading others down the path to destruction.
Have you ever swollowed a bolt down the
intake at high revs.......... ?
Dont think Ford would Warranty that destruction.
You might as well but the stock airbox back on
with the loss of performance the bolt head
will cause in the air stream of the original
nice and smooth insides of your C&L intake.
If its aluminum, have it TIG welded back up.
Or put some tape on the inside to form a
smooth surface and put JB Weld in the
hole from the outside lapping it over the
outer surface as well. Some fiberglass mesh
in the JB Weld will provide the needed strength
and the inside will be as smooth when the
JB Weld has set up and the tape removed.

I think it would be kinda hard for the intake manifold vaccum to suck the head of a bolt through tapped aluminum. I was talking about putting the bolt in through the outside of the tube. Maybe you should stick to Electrical and leave the Mecahnical stuff to somebody who's less than 24hr from having a Mechanical engineering degree. Maybe you should try to inpart your misery to people on other boards or people in your real life.

How is saving someone from a sucked bolt imparting misery?
Or even some errent teflon tape?
Maybe if your description of the 'bolt fix' was a little more
complete, it would leave less up to the imagination.
Just because one is up on electronics does not mean that
the knowledge slot is full and there is no more room for any
more knowledge in any other fields of expertise (mechanical).
If your 'fix' is an indication of your education, more than
24 hrs will be needed in your case.

Oh I thought other people on this board had a brain, at least in tombohums case. In reference to you imparting misery, the negative comments you made in your two previous posts were referenced to me. I have never met you, probably never will, and until now was completely neutral to you. That leads me to believe that you are miserable so you want everyone you come into contact with to be miserable. As far as my education goes you are welcome to contact the University of Alabama and let them know that their curriculum is insufficent. In reference to the operable condition of my fire truck, the one pictured in my sig is a 1993 model and other than a little fading of the paint, is just as operable as the day it rolled out of the E-one factory. So I guess our "hillbilly" engineering is working. So in conclusion people like you who just try to make everyone else miserable make the world a worse place to live. I hope to never come into contact with you again.

That's funny...the xcharger has 12 pipe thread plugs in the intake. I havent heard of any of those coming loose and getting suck down the intake. Also, with the bolt idea if someone isnt smart enought to realise the nut part of the bolt goes on the outside they shouldnt be working on cars.

to answer the original question...i'd suggest tapping the hole with a pipe thread and purchasing a $.20 pipe plug. i might add tap in from the outside so if the plug comes out it wont fall into the intake.
