Modification Reccomendations (for the noob)

Nice car, were did you find those silver front turn signal blinkers? They look so much better than the stock orange ones!
We did the same "mod" to our Porsche, switched out the stock orange ones for gray ones.... same effect... looks much better. (in the daylight)
Meaning get a tuner? Something like this?

Ive already got it bookmarked
But it wouldn't make much sense to buy it now, I don't even have the car =P

After I posted a while ago (post #12) I realized that SLP Loudmouths probably wouldn't be as loud as heck (like setting car alarms off LOL) if I was using stock air induction (may change with a CAI
), stock headers, and stock Mid-Pipes.
Thanks Dark-Army for clearing up the difference between SLP Loudmoths and Plain Muffler Deletes.
@ mygt500; er... uh... whats UDP?
All: Whats the advantage of getting a new gearset? I know it allows the wheels to turn faster with less rev's from the engine...
Thanks again for all your help guys, its really helpful.
EDIT: Sorry, double post >.<

a new rear gear like the 4.10's will give great seat of the pants feel and is a great mod for the money!

So...
Here is my list of feasible aftermarket upgrades in rough chronological order. (Ill include visual upgrades this time...)
Light Covers
$59.99 Mustang Smoked Headlight Covers
$49.99 Mustang Smoked Fog Light Covers
$59.99 Mustang Smoked Taillight Covers
Shorty Antenna
$19.99 8-inch Fixed Black Antenna
CAI+Tune
$599.99 C&L Racer & SCT X3 Intake Tuner Package
SLP Loudmouths
$339.99 Mustang SLP Loudmouth Axle-Back Exhaust
Springs
$249.99 H&R Super Sport Springs <-- too much drop? =P
And then whenever I get my rims (def gonna be black, see my theme? Very clean and very dark)
Red Caliper covers
$189.99 MGP Mustang Caliper Covers
Wheel Spacers
$99.95 1in Billet Aluminum Wheel Spacers <-- Possibly
Then maybe down the road some and I want some more power
$209.95 Steeda Mustang Underdrive Pulley System
$189.99 Ford Racing Gears
I'm also going to look into some window tint, rear pedestal spoiler, and a new hood/shaker system.
So what do you guys think? Look like a good start? Think I should add or remove anything?
Also, How much horsepower I would see gained with all the parts I listed here?
Thanks for your help guys, Im excited to get into all this (once I get the car >.>)
EDIT: Also, as we all know, the Mustang isnt exactly known for its handling. What are some starter mods to increase the cornering performance?
What kind of tires should I be looking at? I don't need anything for street, track, or any kind of racing as I wont be racing... So like Performance All-Seasons?

Welcome! You are asking for tons of stuff! lol. I have to tell you with the exhaust, there are so many different options you can go with. You can go with pypes, mac, borla, flowmaster, kooks, hooker, magnaflow etc...lol it all really depends on what you wanna go with. A couple of these include headers and midpipes, plus the exhaust. When you go headers, make sure you go LT (longtube).
Everybody is definitely right about the CAI and Tune. That is almost always the first mod for the mustangs.
After any performance mods, you will definitely be able to tell your suspension/traction is gonna be a little hard to handle. Some things that would help are LCA's (lower control arms), UCA's (upper control arms), strut tower, k member, subframe connectors and so on.
Tires are next. Stock mustangs I believe come with the 235/55 17" rims and tires. Ford will tell you the thickest you can go is 255, but you can either go up to 275's or go with a bigger rim/tire.
UDP's. If you're planning on going F/I (forced induction), there's no need for the pulleys because you will just have to replace them anyways.
Gears: If you get the 05-06 mustang gt, the gears are 3.55. (Which I really like) The 07 and higher actually lowered the gears to I believe 3.23's.
If you need anymore help feel free to pm me.
P.S. I never recommend going to a shop because you will always pay more there instead of getting it yourself online.

So after going to the car show and looking at the mustangs a lot more I think Im even more attracted to them but the lack of stability control and side curtain airbags makes me want to think about something safer... like a Nissian 350z.
Anyway... I was wondering if these springs would lower my imaginary mustang too much? (Id probably use standard sized tires)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/hr-sup...ings-2005.html
It says 1.9' rear and 1.7' front if Im not mistaken.
Springs are probably one of the few things that I would have a shop install because I don't have any of the tools needed that weigh over like 5lbs lol
Sorry if the thread is a little old... it wont kill ya...

Ive found americanmuscle.com before. I like their site so I may use them...
At this point, I don't care too much about the power. I do want it to sound good though =D
What are the advantages of buying from a forum sponsor?
Thanks for the quick help guys, keep the suggestions coming

Looks like we were able to talk you into an intake/tuner combo, thankfully. That mod is not all about power, it completely changes your throttle response and makes the car much more fun to drive.
As far as exhaust, it sounds you want something really loud and aggressive. Your best bet will be SLP Loudmouths or Boomtubes. You can also go with Borla Stingers if you want a more refined sound.
As far as those H&R Super Sports. Once you go past about a 1.5" drop, it starts to hurt handling unless you do A LOT of supporting mods. With any springs that lower about an inch or more, it won't take long to destroy your stock shocks. Koni Sports (Yellows) are probably the best affordable shocks and struts out there; they offer the best range of adjustment and have the best build quality and warranty. A good set of shocks and struts will give you a much larger increase in the handling ability of your car than anything else besides maybe tires. Also, when you lower any amount, your rear axle will shift under the body. If you go with a drop of more than an inch, this shift is enough that an adjustable panhard bar is all but required. The lower the drop, the more supporting mods you will need to go with it. If you go with a large drop, say 1.5" or more, you will most likely need an Adj. UCA or Adj LCA's to correct your pinion angle. If you do decide to do a 1.7/1.9 inch drop, I would say, at a minimum, you need Shocks/Struts, Adj. PHB, Adj. UCA, and Camber Plates. Plan to go through your ball joints pretty quickly as well, so you'll most likely need to get a set of Steeda's X5 ball joints pretty quick. After you get done with all of that, your car will be so low that it will hit the bump stops occasionally and the handling will not be quite what it could be with a more mild drop. If you want to go with H&R and you are concerned about handling, your best bet is to go with their Race Springs. Another set that is comparable, but not quite as stiff, would be Steeda's Competition Springs. For what you've said so far, one of those would probably fit your needs best. If I were you, I would call Sam Strano and talk to him about your goals and he'll put you on the right path to meet them. his website is www.stranoparts.com and he is a forum sponsor. He also happens to have those Koni shocks/struts on sale.
As far as those light covers are concerned... I haven't really heard a whole lot of good about them. You would probably be better off looking up one of the light tinting DIYs and actually spraying them. That's just my opinion
You do not need wheel spacers, just make sure you get the correct offset the first time around.
And pretty please, do NOT get those rice-tastic caliper covers.

lol, you guys are funny with calling out rice. You wanna know what a REAL ricer would do? Paint his factory calipers.
I think its funny that painting factory pieces is generally considered NOT rice, yet a set of $200 nicely made powder-coated T6 aluminum covers that a ricer would never pay for, are ricey. Its strange.
The $25 plastic Brembo covers from eBay are in fact, rice, lol.
