Thanks Rubrignitz, I will scratch the torque limiters off of my list then. I really wish someone made a poly tranny mount for our cars...

The Prothane MM's anchor the engine down and stop it from torqueing over. Since the Tranny is tied to the motor, the mounts stop the tranny from torqueing also. The Torque Limiters do the same thing but the other way around. They anchor the tranny and in turn the motor. Apparently doing them both has no advantages. So just pick one or the other.

So, is there any true advantage in having Prothane MM on my Automatic? Since most of you seem to have it either for LTs clearance or missing shifts.

I'm getting my Kooks LTs installed sometime soon, which should have no clearance problems.

Yes you should get them. It's not about initial clearance, but rather once the engine is on and idling. Since the stock mounts are rubber they allow more engine movement, and a once cleared pipe now rubs due to that. Get the mounts, it will save you time and money in the long run.

The only reason he would need them is if the engine torques over enough when gunning it. The LT's may rub against the frame once under throttle in which case you would need the MM's

***UPDATE***

Just called and it's done! The installer gave me a teaser by starting it and letting me hear it over the phone...I have a hard on!!!! It was pretty damn deep and loud, and that was just through the phone! He said the no cats plus H pipe really woke up the flows! Well, it's 1:40, I get lunch at 2:45, and will go pick it up then. I'll take pics to show where it's rubbing, then get it fixed tomorrow! Really stoked! Also, I know this thread is like a million posts long, do you guys want me to just continue to update here, or make an official Boost Brothers review post?
