Default Best sound deadening material?

So I want to sound proof the whole mustang so that it is "Lexus quiet".

What material do you guys like best?

Dynamat Extreme is the biggest name and has great reviews, but is it worth the price?

There are a couple others like : Fatmat, Secondskin, and Brownbread, but I'm not sure...

It all depends on how much you want to spend. You can try RAAMmat it works pretty well

I have read many great things about second skin but they are pricey too IMO.... regardless the ones mentioned are great and I like dynamat!

Dynamat is alright, but second skin is better at a lower price point. Second skin and raamat are the two companies I'd recommend. I love second skin's sludge and slime products.

edit-Dynamat used to be grossly overpriced, but I see that they may have come down on their prices while second skin has risen...my bad...regardless, I'd still recommend second skin's waterborne products, as I've heard many many good things about them, and had very good luck with them in very limited experience I've had with them. Dynamat is good though, I'm just biased towards second skin.

My question is, why?

It's just not right for a muscle car to be silent IMO.

Get some boomtubes.

I got the cheap stuff from Jegs called Quiet Ride. I did my trunk with it to reduce drone. I noticed some improvement.
