Honest question about exhaust/wheels
No. This isn't another thread about which exhaust sounds best or which wheels look best. I made my choices on each based on the sound that I like and the look that I like, which is what I would suggest anyone else to do when facing these decisions. I have the Borla cat back exhaust, and I love the way it sounds. If I had to do it again I probably would have gone with the axle backs, but I was sold on the quality so I opted for the cat backs. I have heard several people say that exhaust A or exhaust B is a waste of money because they don't have any significant horsepower gains for the money, yet these same people will spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on wheels and tires because they look good. I'm all about power, and the mod options we have on our Mustangs was one of the selling points for me, but my question is why do so many people frown upon spending money to get the sound they want, yet compliment those that spend the same amount or more on the wheels that they want? I know it's all about personal choice, but it just seems like a pretty common criticism.
i have no idea, i do come on and ask for advice regularly, and even though people have told me not to get headers, im going to anyways because i want the improved sound. and for the rims, i think its mostly because on mustang forums we can all see the wheels, so we think it looks good and praise it, im sure if we could hear how peoples exhaut was we probbibly wouldnt bash it so much... just my opinion...
Agreed. People have diff preferences. Some people go for show while other go for power. Its also a good idea to take other members opinions as..opinions. You shouldnt base your whole decision on what people think. Just take the time to gather information and other alternatives. Then you'll know you made the best decision possible.
