Default Shaker system modification

I have a CDC shaker hood system on my 06' GT. I am thinking about installing a JLT CAI. I understand I may need to modify the heat shield to accomodate the Shaker inlet tube. Can anybody tell me how involved this is? Is it worth the work?

Here is what I did, loved the look. It was very easy and well worth it.

But did make another modification recently, really improved the HP! LOL

I actually bought Toy4Bob's Shaker and also have a JLT CAI. I do love the look of the stainless pipe he had done, but with the JLT heat shield it sets a little bit different than what's in his pic. I'll try to get a pic of it tomorrow.

Here's my Shaker to JLT setup.
It's actually aircraft ducting, but anything similar would work.
And I've trimmed my shroud down as well.

You can just use the supplied elbow & cut a hole in the JLT piece & attach the elbow there as well.

Here is a pic of mine. I just kind of slotted a hole in the heat shield for the pipe to rest in.

Well I should hope so, that fancy piece of "dairy" grade stainless pipe cost me $20, but it was custom fabbed.... LOL. By the way, if you take a scouring pad, and rub that pipe it gives it that brushed look, kinda cleans/shines it. I meant to send the pad with you I had but forgot.
