Dyno Results -- Need Input!
So I went down and got the car dyno'd today on a dyno jet. I attached the sheet below. Its running the brenspeed 91 tune so it is very conservative. The guys that did the dyno kept talking me in circles and saying I need to come in for a custom tune...I dunnno...went to some other more friendly guys and showed them the paper and he agreed he could tweak it and make some more power. My question is...an hour at $105 for tuning...will it be safe still....or should I leave as is?

R U happy with the power? I think you are and I think the A/F ratios are perfect esp at the higher end of the RPM scale... I wish the run went thru 6000+ rpms as you still have power in that area (so actually your numbers maybe higher anyway) and the TQ and HP curves are what you expect from a centri....your non intercooled so I would not up the boost or push it any further.....thats JMO
Your safe and there is no point in maxing the stock block or more importantly the weak easily broken rods.....
I want to know what timing your running....just like Mike said a dyno tune is the best tune for max hp/tq and you have to advance the timing and lean the A/F mixture to get higher numbers (so less room for error)
Personally you might be able to see 400 RWHP and 385 RWTQ but those numbers are safe and respectable for the cost/hp gained ratio....

^ I agree now that I think about it. It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If its a track car then up the HP but if you bought the vortech for more kick in the pants street car then you are sitting pretty.

I've been through that "per hour" dyno tune shuck and jive. Run really fast away from that shop, find a reputable one in the area (or not in the area, it's worth the drive) that will give you a dyno tune price, not "per hour". That's BS. and find a tuner with a mustang dyno. much better "real world" tune. all the dynojet ops want to charge you "by the hour" cause they can't get a tune spot on like a mustang dyno can.

I couldn't agree more with what Rubrignitz said. It more than just a numbers game...you have to know the car's limitations and you want to make sure the shop that is tuning your car isn't just chasing numbers. I will say that I think your numbers seem alittle low for a DynoJet pull...I would have imagined somewhere right around 390-400 like some of the others on here with a similar set up.
I am running 8.11psi, and on the Mustang Dyno that my car was tuned on, I ended up with 428rwhp/404rwtq, which is right where my car needs to be before I have to start worrying about breaking things....and I paid $600 for my dyno tune.
