Default Silicone side scoops.. Help..

So I bought my car with the side scoops and window louvers already on it, and underneath where the side scoops go i have 3 big notches of silicone attached to my car. They were holding the scoop to the car along with 3m tape.

This silicone is on GOOD. How can I remove this? I took vice grips and clamped on good and this thing didn't even budge, i just dont want to ruin the paint. any chemicals u can suggest?

see what a dealer has to say, and how much it would cost them to remove it. cause if they remove it and damage the paint u might get away with making them touch it up

NOOOOOOOOOOO Do NOT use gasket remover, that will remove your paint. Are you trying to remove the scoops? If you are try using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive and try wiggling some fishing line behind it and saw through the adhesive to remove it. If your just trying to remove a glop of silicone, get a new sharp X-Acto knife and gently cut the silicone away, just be careful when you get close to the paint.

Goo Gone Xtreme is awesome stuff.. i bet it will take the silicone off. Ive used it on paint before and it did not damage the finish.
