Another what would it take thread!
Sicne i know you guys love these threads 
My friend might be getting his parents 95 cobra for his 18th b-day and i was kinda wondering how much id need to take him in a 1/4 mile.
He says its pretty close to stock with just UDPs and mack headers mid pipe (x i think) and some flowmasters.
Not sure if there were other options for cobras, but its a 5.0
So with a stock gt how bad would i lose??
My plan for mods at the moment is cai/tune/boomtubes/maybe driveshaft.
With just those mods could i take him or would i need more?

I didnt think those few mods would add 60 hp but...
Also he claims the transmission is gear more for racing.
Its a stock transmission, i think he said its the t45?
I know nothing about the older stangs, but definitly true about our cars looking better
Ill find out soon enough i guess.
If i ever get a cai/tune ill get him to go to the track and race me sometime.

you got him as you stand now. the old cobra's just dont have the hp they have these days. as 5spd07gt has said they only have 240 stock. and him having udp's and exhaust should only get him to where you are to the wheels. your car puts down at least 260hp to the wheels stock. so the race would def be a drivers race. good luck

3.08:1 transmission 'geared for racing'? Huh? Geared for gas mileage maybe. It'll be a dog off the line.
And yeah it's the old 302. Sounds great and it's not totally gutless but it isn't comparable to the 3v 4.6.

BTW, my sequential taillights gave me enough power to take the neighbors Z06. ;-p

and yeah, you'll smoke him, hell I beat one a couple years ago when I had my V6 s197 with a full exhaust, intake and a tune hahah.
