so is this kinda like sand blasting, but softer? You just cleaned all the oil off the gears right?

No sir, those were brand new gears absolutely zero oil on them. It's not a blast, it's a polish, it's hard to explain without seeing it. My original thoughts were valve covers, but the problem is there is an oil baffle in the inside that would be next to impossible to seal off, and the media is so small it could tear a motor to shreds if introduced into the system.

hey, PM me your build as well, I've always been curious what all you have done to that beast. I'm almost decided that I won't be adding any FI ever, just go NA in the future, but I want to do a stroker and the whole shebang. Instant power and much, much lighter. If I can get close to 420-430rwhp NA, then I say it's completely worth giving up the 20whp of a blower to save the weight on the front end.

So no polished valve covers Rob?....sucks you bought mine to test...hopefully you can get rid of them anyway!
