Default Seatback Handle

Busted the plastic handle on the top of the seatback that lets the seatback move. Is there a better place than Ford to get this part, perhaps maybe a metal one?

Not sure. My car came with one missing and the dealer I bought it from went to the Ford house and got a new one. So far I haven't broken either of them.

yea both of mine are broke, i just use the handle on the side to let people in. i rarely ever have anyone riding in the back, i think ive actually used the back seat for "transporting" people 2 times in 8 months

Join the crowd. After reading all the threads about them breaking when I bought my Stang, I made it a habit to use the handle on the side of the seat and not the one on the back.

This has been a problem from, apparently, day one. There's some discussion about it in this old tread with a couple options for solutions. I've always personally been disappointed by the fact that it's so hard to find a replacement for this piece, where making it out of aluminum is actually beneficial. And yet, you can get aluminum covers or replacement for every other piece of plastic on the interior, where all it does is waste your money.
