Default HELP... SCT X3 STOPS WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VORTECH INSTALL

Ok, so some of you know that I am at the final stage of my SC install. My tech calls me as says- I cant load the brenspeed tune into your car.. I go down to the shop and and sure enough not only will it not load the brenspeed tune but the stock tune is gone and so are all the other canned tunes. I have the car done minus the gauges and all I can do is look at it in the shop. Can't hear it, cant' feel it all because the x3 decided to take a crap. ?- has anyone had this happen and please provide any tips to fix. I am livid to say the least.

try calling the manufacturer. They may know of a quick fix.

I did, they ask for a bunch of info and they will get back to me tomorrow. Thanks. I was just wondering if this is ever happened to anyone else.

i don't know what the condition of your
x3 is, but even if you could get it working,
it might be risky using it to upload your
tune. i would get a replacement x3 and
get back to business

just curious, why would that be risky? a x3 is the next thing on my wishlist.

The tuner is new, less than a year old. I am pissed.

Cause it could fail during the upload, or screw something else up. The X3 is nice don't get me wrong, but electronic just crap out from time to time. Nothing we can do about it.

Perhaps they could e-mail you the tunes you need and you might be able to reupload them into the tuner with the SCT software on a computer?
