lots of ways to remove unneeded weight... but are you talking about for the track only like removing passenger seat and rear seats?? or weight reduction mods like lightweight radiator support and things like that?

Let's see how much more I can recant from the dozens of other threads on this topic...

Aluminum Driveshaft, rear seat delete, track battery, spare tire delete, passenger seat delete, sway bar delete, lighter wheels, A/C delete...

I think modaddict had a pretty comprehensive list. His goal was something on the order of about a 500 lb drop if I recall.

I wonder what the difference [seat of the pants] would be 500 lbs. lighter???

I do know that traveling with my wife, 2 kids and all our crap in the trunk makes it feel like a tank, lol.

You'd have to remove a LOT to get to 500 lbs. I can't remove all of it, I need my seats for kids. How much does the backseat weigh though?

maybe 7-10 lbs. That might even be an overstatement. I tried to weight it on my scale but it didnt read.

There were a few that claim the rear seat delete (there really IS an aftermarket kit for that) dropped roughly 20-30 lbs but I believe that included hardware removal, too. Hopefully some that have done it can chime in.
