The biggest thing that gets me is the price of the LM. I know if I wanted the LM style pipe, I would have just had an exhaust shop make me some for SUPER cheap.
LM are good when you have some M80s welded in the mid.

I'm very familiar with the boomtubes because I've copied their construction with permission and engineering specs from Mac Exhaust (makers of the boomtubes). It's very difficult to make those baffels in a metal pipe yourself and I wouldn't do that for no reason.
Those baffles have a significant effect on improving the upper rev range's sound quality in all situations, their only result is eliminating terrible sound elements in the high pitches of the rev range.
There is a reason why the boomtubes cost $200 to make and the SLP's $60. The SLP''s are just exhaust tips which leave the low quality sound of the 2v engine to go straight out the back. the boomtubes are exhaust tips and a complicated set of straight through mufflers that dampen some of the less desirable engine note but maintain the same amount of volume.
Rasp is a very relative measure i've noticed, which a lot of SLP owners (and any exhaust owners) are tone deaf to even the strongest example sometimes. If you want to do everything you can to eliminate it, why would you buy a muffler which costs the same but eliminates rasp less, and is equal in every other measurable way?
You've done the direct opposite of what everything you said in your thread pointed to. sorry man.
