Magnetic Blackout Panel (Noob question)
Ok so i bought the blackout panel from american muscle. I let it sit out over night like it said to do but i still have a bunch of 'bumbs' 'dents' on the piece and i tried to install it seeing since it is magnetic it would just stick and be fine. Well i tried but it didnt look right.. Is there anything you guys have done to get this to flaten out properly. Any ideas would help! Thanks
Two big pieces of glass. Sunlight, not overnight.
Sandwich panel between the 2 pieces of glass
out in direct sunlight. Allow the panel to cool
before removing from in between the two pieces of glass.
Apply to vehicle. Enjoy.

I had exactly the same issue on the same AM piece. I tried everything, execept the glass idea that is, and couldn't get it so that it didn't look like a $40 magnet. I eventually lost my temper and ended up tearing it around the hole. It went in the trash and is another lesson in my memory bank that reminds me that when want something, I buy what I want and spend the $ it takes to do it right. If i don't have the $, I wait till I do.

I think as soon as warm weather hits you will not have these problem. The issue is that it is in the 40-50s in OH right now and it just hasn't gotten enough heat to form to the car. I used to have one of the ebay ones for $25 and had zero shaping issues once it was in direct sun for a little while.
I would say put it in the sun or use a hair dryer and use something to squish it flat. Do you have like a folding table or anything bigger than it thats flat? Either that or get something on each corner and lay it out in the sun.
I had the AM one, and it was bad! Had a lot of bubbles, started to tear around the faux gas cap. Ended up in the garbage!
I found another one on ebay, so I ordered it and never looked back.
Great fit and quality.
