Default Help

So the other day somebody or something scratched my new gt 500 spoiler from one end to the middle but it was just through the clear coat. Is there a way I can make it not look so noticeable?

2000 grit sandpaper, rubbing compound and polishing compound. Sand it with the wet/dry 2000 grit and across the scratch, not with it. Then rubbing compound it with a terry cloth towel. Follow it up with the polishing compound and then wax it. Should cover it up well and dont sand too much!

You could always just try rubbing compound first too before the sandpaper. Oh and make sure the sandpaper is wet, makes it a lot easier. Let us know how it goes! I was actually just taking some scratches and swirls out of my fusion today. LOTS of work!

PM me if you have any more questions... I used to detail cars at a body shop and I have seen some nasty scratches but they ended up just being in the clearcoat and came out like they were never there before!
