Default JBA header question

hey i have been thinking about getting the JBA shorties instead of the BBK tuned shorties because the JBA's are CARB legal. The JBA's wont give me a hassel when i go for inspection.

Two things:

1) whats the difference between silver ceramic and titanium ceramic?

2) would i be able to use stock gaskets or are the JBA gaskets good?

thanks

Silver and titanium coats are just JBA's two designations of their high-temp coatings. The titanium is supposedly the most heat resistant. I had JBA titanium ceramic coats on my truck. It's also supposed to be the most durable yet I saw discoloration peeking through the coating after about 6 months. While the titanium coat is the best coating it's also the ugliest. Nasty muddy gray color. I'd just go with the silver coat or none at all (like the ones I have now) and paint them.

The stock gaskets are reusable metal gaskets, you'll be fine with them. I'd also suggest some good locking header bolts like stage8 or similar.

I can't see there being a big difference in performance of the two coats. They're really proud of that titanium coating. I wonder if they have some technical data showing the titanium coat working that much better??

Go with the silver IMO, looks great.

I'm a summit racing guy because of their best in the business service and support but try to purchase from a site sponsor if you're not worried about having the part in less than 10 hours like I usually am lol.
