I just installed the shifter. Fairly easy.

I am noticing that in the higher gears the shifter shakes more than in the lower gears. When i get it into fourth gear the shifter has a slight shake to it as opposed to first or second.

I have the shifter turned 9 out of 10 times for the shortest throw. Is this to be expected or should I start troubleshooting?

 

I just installed mine last weekend at 6 turns. No vibration at all. Only vibration when I pull on the gear without clutching (such as when on 5th gear resting your hand on the shifter and pull it a bit towards the aft of the car). I am planing to go down to 8 turns next weekend to make the throw a bit shorter. I will let you know if I notice any additional vibration. One of the things I read on another install when car lowered and the pinion angle is not adjusted properly, there is a chance mgw is rubbing on the axle over 8 turns or so. Check it out.
