Maybe it sat on the lot long enough that the battery is trashed? That would be my first suspicion. All it takes is sitting there for a couple months and that can do it.

You would hope they fixed the Shaker battery drain problems by now.

Well I jumped mine today and drove it about 12 miles then back in my garage. After I shut it off I tried to start it and it started right up again. I'll try it tomorrow. I will get a battery charger soon.

I think the Active Anti-Theft System is at fault in my case.

FYI... you may not need a new battery. I bought a Deltran Battery Tender Plus. It took 2.5 days for it to get my battery charged. It was very low but its back to full charge and it will maintain the charge whenever I have it stored for any length of time. I paid about $70 but it was worth it for the piece of mind.

As I said before I think it's the Active Anti-Theft System that was the cause of the battery drain. It came with a heavy duty battery from the factory because of the drain it causes.

Thanks doode, I'll check out the CTEK too.
Looks like you have found one and taken care of the problem!

Worth the money and no Jack I did not get the extras that could have been bought and I found the seller of it from the link I provided on the first page!

You bought a new one? Why not have the dealer give you a free battery? It should be under warranty.
