Wow, i came to the right place. You guys really helped me alot. The new 2010 mustang is coming out in a few weeks and might take a look at it.

I like the 09 version coz of the front but cant beat 2010's interior and other features.

Still undecided but hopefully, I will have more expert opinions on this matter.

I am paying in cash so dont know if that would get me a better deal for the 2010 GT.

I only have 30K or below that for an OTD purchase on a brand new one.

I guess you cant have everything in a car..love the exterior of the 09 but love the interior of the 2010.

Still got time before I buy it so hopefully, something or someone could point me to the right direction.

This is hard coz its my first mustang.

If you are buying outright with cash, the 2009s should be cheaper than the 2010s. Are there any 08 left overs around? The discounts are even deeper on those, and they are nearly identical to the 09s.

As someone suggested, take an 09 V6 and GT out and see how you like them. That will give you the best feel for things. I know it sounds lame, but make a list of the pros and cons for each. Sometimes staring at these reasons makes the decision making process easier.

Me personally, I would take the GT in a heart beat! The V8 power and sound is more satisfying in intself than any interior. If a car has the perfect exhaust note and power, I could handle sitting on a milk crate, but then again that's just me. You need to determine what you prefer?

In regards to transmission choices. Do you have any experience with a manual? What kind of conditions do you drive in? If it is mostly city...stop and go, you may not find a manual as enjoyable. I've always liked the interactiveness that a manual provides. There is nothing as exhilerating as rowing gears perfectly while carving up some back roads! It all depends on what you want in the car and how you will be driving it.

tough question...i am looking at a very similar "dilema". i am either going to buy an 09GT or wait until 2011......like everyone has said....test drive them both...paying with cash will get you a great price on the 09 and 10.

I'd get the GT, and what are you kidding me it doesn't matter if it's a stick or auto? If you are going to do it, enjoy driving and involvement with your car, then get the stick, do the GT. If you just want the look and aren't concerned about fun to drive, by all means get the 6 and an automatic... and I guess I'll know who buys those cars....

Quick question, its kind of on topic. What the going rate for the 09 GT's? I have finially talked my buddy away from his acura rsx type R into a stang. What would you all feel comfortable with OTD on an 09 GT Premium Coupe 5 Sp?

One more thing id like to throw out there. Seriously consider getting the v6 front end over the gt one if u are getting a 2010 gt. Look at the pictures on the car there are lots of them these days on the web. Much better looking imo..

The only thing the 2010 has that the 2009 didn't have that I was interested in was the Ford Sync but guess what, the dealer can install sync in 2009's. I didn't know this until after I bought the car. Not sure if I really need sync now though lol. I don't really do anything with my phone in the car and it already has an in dash mp3/cd changer with satellite radio.

I saw someone above with a 2008 black GT with 4.10's in it. Why are you going to get a 2011? that's a good car, save your money.

Uh... it has better seating surfaces, a lockable compartment in the center console, a cover for the cupholders, factory sequential turn signals, once piece dash, factory 19" rim options, improved power, suspension and ride height, capless gas cap, backup camera option, shorter antenna, bigger map door pockets, interior trunk release, dual climate control options as well as Track Pack and Power Pack options!

Not interested in any of that?
You must have got a great 2009!
My 2005 has none of that plus lots of factory standard rattles!
