BamaChips 89 "Torque" Tune Loaded Today...
I ordered the Diablosport Predator from BamaChips this past Saturday. I ordered the 87 Performance, 89 Torque, and 91 Torque tunes. Well, I received it today, Wednesday (three business days later) and installed the 89 Torque tune on my 2006 Automatic GT. Holy freakin' cow! The seat of the pants meter was pegged! This thing rips in the lower rpm band!
That makes for two tuners out of Alabama I've had success with. James at Runnin' With the Devil (RWTD.com) for my '03 Cobra and now Doug at BamaChips for my '06 GT. Them southern boys know to tune!
<--Satisifed BamaChips customer.

As far as mods, other than the boomtubes in my sig, I'm running a K&N Cold Air Intake system. Thats it.
I already have a 91 Kenne Bell 5.0 supercharged mustang coupe I have to run 93 octane in along with a 2003 Mach 1 (sold the '03 Cobra), so I wanted a performance tune that allowed me to save some money and use a lower octane. The 89 tune is oh-so-much-better than the stock tune, it's just ridiculous.

I have 93 Race & 93 Torque. I love the performance of the 93 Torque. Its great for a daily driver where you get to appreciate the low & mid rpm bands.
I don't love that he hasn't been able to make it play nice with my longtube headers - P0133 code.

I got the 87 Performance, 93 Torque and Race. I have tried all three and like the Race the best. I have tried the other two and don't feel a lot of difference from the stock. I also feel a little lag when running the Race on acceleration. Are these items of concern?
Thanks

I have been running dougs 91 race out here in CA for a couple weeks and I like it for the most part. However I have had to do a lot a tweaking in the parameters with the timing to get it to not pull timing at the higher RPM's. I think CA just has poor gas.

After running around for a week and realizing Doug didn't turn off traction control in his custom tune, I went into the custom parameters for the 89 torque tune and turned it off myself. I guess Doug didn't turn off traction control due to liability issues. Anyway, I also reset the "neutral" and "drive" idle speeds to higher values. Gotta love the Predator.
The one thing I'm puzzled about is the 1-2, 2-3 and 3-4 MPH upshift values. I played around with them and set them higher but I didn't notice any change during regular driving. So I reset them back to the "0" (ie: Factory) setting. Maybe these settings only affect WOT shifts.
