Wink Finally stepped on my new 09 GT

So I finally decided I could see what my new 09 mustang gt could do..lol... i t only has 110 miles..so i pulled outta my gf's cousins apartment complex rolled off the clutch to like 10-15 then hammered down lol hit the rev limiter and was like wow this thing revs alot faster than my 5.0 lol i hit second and the tires chirped pretty good then hit third and looked down and said oh sh%t i better slow down lol how are these cars when you rev to like 3.000 and dump the clutch?? lots of spinning?? sorry dumb question lol. can a stock 5 speed chirp in 3rd also?

I've revd it up to 4000 and dumped the clutch. Spin city. Not sure about 3000 yet haven't tried a clutch dump there.

Let me know what happens.

im almost scared to lol like not that i cant handle it but im scared to break it i paid cash for this beast lol i want this car to be faster i wanna smoke most cars that pull up next to me lol i had a old volvo try to race me earlier i stomped him 1/2 throttle easily. anyone can shime in here with cool things they did when they first got thier s197..

Im not sure about chirping in 3rd, but i got some nice spin in second the other day all stock. Always fun to stomp it, but i normally let off after i shift to third

yeah i hear ya i didnt really get them to spin lol i let off too i dont like tickets

When I was stock and on 20's I could chirp in third but that did not last long.....was able to again (and then some) with the addition of FI!

im confused lol why didnt it last long and it may be a dumb question but whats a FI?

FI means forced induction. Supercharger/turbo. Our cars typically don't spin in third very long. Just a baby chirp usually. Dumping from 3000 is gonna pretty much spin you all the way to second gear. I know I chirped mine going into third with only a CAI.

okay thanks for the info so from what i hear a cai and a tune makes a huge difference? ( its in another thread) how much power can u really get from a cai and how noticeable is it? also i was just wondering what cars can pull up next to me and try to race me and i dont really have to worry about losing to? im basically asking wat cars mine can beat lol
