Ford said this isnt covered under warranty because it was casued buy enviromental or bird droppings. I have two spots on teh paint that the clearcoat came off. I need help...do the mustangs have any known paint issue? what could of caused this? Car is garaged parked 100% after work. Work parking lot is open without trees to drop stuff on the car. After 24 years of car ownership this is the first time i've seen this an my cars. Car is cleaned with auto soap and sometime goes threw the car washes. I know this is just BS excuse for the paint but ive call Fords# and they said i had to deal with the dealer whn i aske for a manager or a factory rep to look at he car.

try a different dealer, if you bitch enough they will take care of it if its still under warranty.

Sometimes if clearcoat is shot improperly it wont last very long. Its weird cause it usually peels in the corners or something or at an edge. I guess worst case scenario you get it re painted on just the roof, shouldnt be more than a couple hundred dollars.

I would try another dealer and see what they say. Its weird that its in circles like the shape of bird droppings, thats probably why they think that.

So you have never had bird droppings on your car that you left there?
