Question Do I need special tools to install axel backs?

I have a mechanic's socket set and wrenches, a floor jack and pair of ramps.

What do I need to know about to switch my stock mufflers to the GTA's?

The unopened box is in my garage and I'm going to attempt the install tomorrow. Thanks.

im not saying that but i know anything to do with my exhaust is being welded in, you would have to use clamps.

The install is easy overall. The bolts on the hangers that are above the factory mufflers have like nearly zero clearance however. Your best bet to get at those is to buy a set of ratcheting wrenches like these:

I believe the size was 13mm. You can probably just buy the single wrench if you don't want to drop $50 like I did on a whole set.

The stock axlebacks are all bolted in. Other than being a tight fit to get to the hangers above the mufflers, it's a cinch. I installed the GT's (Stingers) but yours should be no different than removing and reinstalling the stock axlebacks.

There's a HowTo in Taco Bill's sticky that I suggest you read through first. I had mine in in about 1-1/2 hours and that was being **** during the install.

You don't need to get the mufflers welded on. Just use the clamps, they'll work fine. If you don't feel like messing with the install, a muffler shop can probably do it in 20 minutes with a lift.
