MGW IMO

have it, love it, precise and clean engagments.

The Pro 5.0 is also a great unit, I've driven a GT with it and it was very nice

Go for the MGW it is worth every penny, I tried the Steeda and I didn't care for it.

HURST FTW! The throw is about as short as it gets, and the feel is really notchy and mechanical. I love it. But it isn't for everyone. If you want something smooth and like stock but shorter, MGW is what most people recommend.

I have the MGW for couple of weeks. The construction material, installation material quality is way up there. 0 vibration, smooth shifting (after 200mile break in city/highway mix) absolutely no noise from transmission. Taco Bills installation tutorials kicks butt, and makes it very easy to do install yourself. It is fully adjustable (I use mine at max 10turns although I started at 5-6 for initial break in). +100 MGW

I seen a article in 5.0 or MM&FF magazine not that long ago... they had 3 different Stangs with 3 different STS's and had all 3 owners drive the other cars and give a review on the shifter... I think it was the Hurst, MGW, & maybe Steeda... cant remember for sure what the 3rd shifter was. At the end of the day the Hurst took the title of the best shifter and thats coming from owners of 2 other STS owners. I bought the Hurst but have not installed it yet... cant wait because I drove my buddy's 07 Shelby last week and I loved the Hurst in that car! If its good enough for Shelby then its good enough for me!

I have the Pro 5.0 and love it. It has a good feel and shifts smoothly. Have had it for over two years.

MGW sitting in my garage waiting to go in.

For me, it was between the MGW smoothness and adjustability or the Hurst. In the end, smooth and adjustable won out. I've shifted a mustang with the Hurst and it definitely has a much notchier feel (a little like shifting through gravel).
